Posting Banner Ad and Links on Blogs:

Here are two different directions for Adding the Banner ad and Links to your blog (depending on if you have a Blog at Blogger or Live Journal ).

The basic idea is: Log in to your Blog account, go to your dashboard, go to your Blog Design or Layout, and paste in the links and the banner code.(Remember, if you use a blog and you want to get traffic to come to your website, you will need to write (post) something on your blog at least once a week. It doesn't matter what you discuss. Just talk about anything)

  1. Go to
  2. Log in (you will be sent to your dashboard)
  3. Now that you are viewing your dashboard, click on the "Layout" link. This will take you to a page with the layout of your Blog.
  4. Click on the link called "Add a Gadget" either in the sidebar or footer.
  5. Scroll down and click on "HTML/JavaScript"
  6. Now you will have a form to input a title and Conent.
  7. Now that you are back on the Layout page, you can drag and drop your "gadgets" to wherever you want them to appear on your blog. You can use this feature to move your Banner Ad Gadget to below your blog or into your footer.
  8. When you are done, click Save on the top left. You're done.

Live Journal :

  1. Go to
  2. Log in (with your username and password on the top right of your screen).
  3. Put your mouse over the "Journal" button on top to get the drop down menu. Click on the "Customize Journal Theme" link. This will take you to a page with details about the layout of your Blog.
  4. There is a left hand navigation bar with links half way down the page. Click on the link called "Sidebar".
  5. Now you will have inputs to add details to your side bar. The largest box will be called: Text to be added to the sidebar
  6. Paste the code for your Banner ad in the Content field. You will need to use a "Tall and Skinny" Banner to fit into your sidebar.
  7. Next, Paste in the Front Sight Links from step 3.
  8. When you are done, click the green button called Save Changes on the right side of your screen. You're done.

(Note to Bloggers: does not allow advertisements, so you will have to have a remotely hosted wordpress blog to add a Banner ad to your sidebar.)
