Do I need to bring any equipment?
No. Front Sight supplies all of the equipment you will need to participate in the course.

Will I be encouraged to purchase any equipment during the course?
No, Front Sight will not try to sell you any equipment. We provide you with the knowledge to intelligently select the equipment you may need in the future.

How safe is the equipment?
We only use top-of-the-line, name-brand equipment. That equipment is safety checked regularly.

What type of clothing should I wear?
Loose comfortable outdoor clothing that is appropriate for the season is recommended, along with sturdy shoes.

Do I need to bring any food or water?
Front Sight supplies all the water you will need to stay hydrated during the class. We do offer food services. Click to view Front Sight Boxed Lunch options.

Do I have to take this class with a partner?
No. We will team you with another student or instructor as needed. However, it is a great idea for you to take the course with anyone you plan to climb or rappel with.

Do I need any prior knowledge or experience with ropes, knots, climbing, or rappelling before taking this course?
No. This course is designed to challenge all skill levels from the novice through expert. All the skills and knowledge you need to know will be covered in the course.

How safe will I be in this course?
Safety is the first priority at Front Sight. Our Rappel Masters take every precaution to ensure that you learn and enjoy this course safely.

What if I am afraid of heights?
While there are elements of height involved in learning to rappel, the class is designed to help you overcome any fears you may have and the instructional staff will be eager to cater to your specific concerns.

Is there a prerequisite to taking this class?
No, there is no prerequisite to take this course. It is designed to challenge the beginner and experienced alike.

What is the background of the instructors that will be teaching the class.
All of our Rappel Masters are certified by the National Association of SWAT Team Instructors. All Front Sight instructors maintain the highest levels of performance through continuing education and regular evaluation.
