Why Night Courses?

Most fights occur during times of low-light or even complete darkness. Training during daylight hours alone is not preparing you to win should you ever need to fight with your firearm in the dark. That`s why PrairieFire Nevada offers you a selection of our courses at night. We offer our night courses during the summer months when the daytime temperatures in southern Nevada are quite hot but the nights are beautiful. The weather during the night courses is usually about 70-75°, calm, and clear. Who could ask for better training conditions?

Hours of Training:

Please arrive at the facility by 5:30 P.M. on the first evening of your course. The courses run from 6:30 P.M. to 12:30 A.M.

How are the night courses different from the daytime versions?

PrairieFire Nevada`s night courses start in the evening before the sun sets. This allows a brief review of the skills learned during the prerequisite courses. As the sun sets and the light fades, you will be learning low-light techniques to get reliable hits on your target. Once the ambient light is gone, you will be using your flashlight to gain target identification, sight alignment, and sight picture. You will learn night-specific After Action Drills and malfunction clearances.

The night courses offer a variety of tactical exercises and do not have a skills test.

Prerequisites:

You must have completed the Two-Day Rifle Skill Builder or Four-Day Practical Rifle Course at PrairieFire Nevada with the weapon you wish to use at night.
