Child Self Defense Training

The children's courses are designed to give your kids the skills necessary to keep themselves safe. The children's courses are ideal for children ages 5 to 10 (or those kids in kindergarten through 5^th grade). These fun and interactive one and two-day courses will give your child the tools of awareness, understanding, and the willingness to act when the time is appropriate.

Activities:
These courses are filled with interesting, engaging, and age-appropriate discussions as well as group activities, and role-playing. Your child will learn the Children's Color Code of Mental Awareness, how to identify "tricky" people (child predators), and how to avoid dangerous situations. They will overcome their natural hesitation to yell for help when needed. They will also practice how and when to run for safety. Your child will be mentally aware of their surroundings and have a solid understanding of their world, without being paranoid. In short, your child will be happier and more confident in everything he or she does.

For fun and adventurous breaks during the course, your child will spend time exploring (under close professional supervision) Front Sight's ropes courses. Your child will also receive take-home materials so you can periodically review their skills.

Equipment Required:
Depending on the season, your child may need rain gear and layered clothing for warmth for outdoor activities. All other materials are provided by Front Sight.
