Don’t let your youngsters miss this one. When you come to Front Sight Alaska bring your children, and get them enrolled into our Children’s Alaskan Adventure course. This course teaches kids between the ages of five and eleven the tools needed to be safe in an outdoors environment, while enjoying a wide variety of outdoors adventures. All activities are age-appropriate, highly supervised, and extremely safe. Your children will be challenged "by choice", they will never be forced to participate in an activity that makes them uncomfortable. This course will positively change their lives.

We’ve put together one heck of a program for kids, the kind of outdoors adventures that only Front Sight Alaska could present. These courses are filled with exciting, interesting, and engaging activities, and involve your child on both an individual and group basis. - Wilderness Safety
- Wilderness Navigation
- Safety around wild animals, insects, and frigid water
- Canoeing on Front Sight Lake
- Clam Digging at nearby Clam Gulch State Recreation Area (when the tides are appropriate)
- Salmon fishing on the world-famous Kenai River
- Firearms Skills (handgun, shotgun, and rifle)
- Introduction to Archery
Your child will need lunch, rain gear, and layered clothing for warmth while participating in outdoor activities. Everything else is provided by Front Sight Alaska (including canoes, fishing tackle, clam shovels, hip boots, etc.).

Your child’s safety is always number one priority at Front Sight. Our instructors are professionals that are extremely experienced in outdoors and wilderness environments. We purchase equipment only from major manufacturers with reputations for quality and reliability. And, all of our equipment is professionally inspected and maintained so you can be assured of the highest level of safety.
Cost: The cost of this coure reflects the fact that your child will receive world-class training and adventures while at Front Sight Alaska. This course is not “day care”. Your children will be in the professional care of numerous Front Sight Alaska instructors. In the adult programs, we maintain a ratio of one instructor for every 4-5 students actively engaged in an activity (on the firing line of a handgun course, for example). In the children’s program, we place one instructor for every 1-2 students. This additional staffing guarantees your child’s safety, welfare, and enjoyment while at Front Sight Alaska.
